Verb Forms and Usage

ක්‍රියා පදය පිලිබදව කියා දීමට වැදගත් කරුණු කරණා ගණනාවක් ඇති බැවින් ඒ සදහා වෙනම පාඩමක් ඉදිරිපත් කරමි.

HAS

(හැස් )

Used with third-person singular subjects (he, she, it, or a singular noun)පාවිච්චි කිරීමට ප්‍රථම පුරුෂ ඒක වචන

She has a new bicycle.

ඇයට නව බයිසිකලයක් ඇත.

He has finished his work.

ඔහු ඔහුගේ වැඩ අවසන් කරලා ඇත.

The cat has green eyes.

බළලාට කොළ ඇස් ඇත.

My father has a meeting today.

මාගේ තාත්තාට අද රැස්වීමක් ඇත.

This phone has a good camera.

මෙම දුරකථනයට හොඳ කැමරාවක් ඇත.

HAVE

(හැව්)

Used with first-person (I, we), second-person (you), and third-person plural subjects (they, or plural nouns)

I have two brothers.

මට සහෝදරයන් දෙදෙනෙක් ඇත.

We have a test tomorrow.

අපට හෙට පරීක්ෂණයක් ඇත.

You have a beautiful garden.

ඔබට ලස්සන ගෙවත්තක් ඇත.

They have already eaten.

ඔවුන් දැනටමත් අනුභව කරලා ඇත.

The students have new books.

ශිෂ්‍යයන්ට නව පොත් ඇත.

HAD

(හැඩ්)

Used for all subjects (I, you, we, they, he, she, it) to talk about something that happened in the past

I had a dog when I was young.

මම කුඩා කල මට බල්ලෙක් හිටියා .

She had completed the course.

ඇය පාඨමාලාව අවසන් කරලා තිබුණි.

We had lunch an hour ago.

අපි පැයකට පෙර දවල් ආහාරය කා තිබුණි.

He had a lot of money.

ඔහුට බොහෝ මුදල් තිබුණි.

They had already left.

ඔවුන් දැනටමත් ගිහින් .

WILL HAVE

(විල් හැව්)

Used for all subjects to talk about something that will be completed or possessed in the future

I will have finished by noon.

මධ්‍යාහ්නය වන විට මම අවසන් කරලා තියෙවී .

She will have a baby next month.

ඇයට ලබන මස ළමයෙක් ලෑබේවි .

We will have a party on Saturday.

අපට සෙනසුරාදා උත්සවයක් තියෙයි.

You will have your results soon.

ඔබට ඉක්මනින් ඔබේ ප්‍රතිඵල ලැබෙනු ඇත.

They will have built the house by then.

එතෙක් වන විට ඔවුන් ගෙය ඉදි කර තිබෙනු ඇත.
